Django is a popular, up-and-coming young musician, singer/sonwriter in Austin who has quickly built a following in the area. He is a second year student focusing on songwriting and vocal performing at the prestigious Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts (LIPA), founded by Sir Paul McCartney. His recording songwriting credits include "road You Choose" recorded by Jerry Jeff Walker on Gypsy Songman A Life and Song. This year, country favorite Pat Green covered "Texas On My Mind" on Pat and Cory Morrow's new release Songs We Wish we'd Written. This version of Django's song went to #1 on the Texas Music Chart the week of March 26th, and held steadily there for three consecutive weeks. While in Austin this spring, Django has performed in several clubs in and around Austin with his band. These venues include, Saxon Pub, Waterloo Brewing Company, Shakespeare's (6th Street), Nephew's in San Marcos, and numerous fraternity and sorority parties in the area. In addition, Django has appeared on stage as a guest with Pat Green and Jerry Jeff Walker, to an enthusiastic audience reception.
